Sonny Brindle 2
Just seen a litter advertised on another site. Supposedly saluki x greyhound. One pup is black and white, the rest are blue with white chests. Never seen blue saluki/greys before. Are there many about? Quote Link to post

Paul in North Lincs 15
i always thought that for a gog to throw a bluem it had to have a reccessive blue gene on both the dam and sires side, and i've never seen a blue saluki - - i could be wrong though Quote Link to post

coursing_lad 45
seen a saluki whippet greyhound . whippet greyhound bitch to saluki dog . . Quote Link to post
Paid 935
Blue is a dominant gene I think, so I cant see why not. Als the saluki used might not be 100% pure, if thats the case then def possible. Quote Link to post

If it's got a bit of grey in it already you'd have the gene on both sides. Still don't think a pure saluki x greyhound can be blue. Quote Link to post
Paid 935
You do get silver in salukis, and that sort of grey isnt far of the blue. This has some interesting reading http://homepage.usask.ca/~schmutz/dogcolors.html Quote Link to post

Guest dances
:clapper: blue is a recessive of black caused by the lack of melanin pigment Quote Link to post
